Holiday to Help Out discount scheme starts today – here are some of the best deals
A NEW holiday discount scheme has been launched by airlines and tour operators in the UK, which includes bargains such as 50 per cent off or free room upgrades.
The new initiative, called Holiday to Help Out, also includes brands such as easyJet Holidays and Virgin Voyages.
Running from November 2 to November 8, offers the discounts for holidays booked for future travel from 2020 to 2022.
It has been launched by TTG, and isn't backed by the government.
Sophie Griffiths, editor of TTG who has launched the initiative, said: “This industry has consistently been let down by the powers that be in Westminster so we decided to take matters into our own hands to shine some positivity on travel and try and kick-start the market by driving customers through agents’ doors.
“Inspired by the chancellor’s Eat Out To Help Out scheme, we hope the Holiday To Help Out initiative will create similar excitement about travel and prompt customers to go and talk to their local travel agent about booking the holiday of their dreams.”
Despite the recent lockdown announcement, which has stopped any travel from November 5 until December 2, families can still take advantage of the bargains if heading abroad next year.
Other brands include cruises such as Uniworld and Celebrity Cruises, as well as hotels - to take advantage of the deals, you must book through a tour operator listed on the website.
