The top UK holiday parks – with go kart tracks, heated indoor swimming pools and wizard workshops
KEEPING the whole family entertained on holiday can be difficult – which is where holiday parks come in thanks to the range of activities on offer.
Here are the 10 best holiday parks in the UK, which start from £29 per break – although it is worth checking the latest rules and restrictions before booking, due to new measures across England, Wales and Scotland.
1. Sandymouth Holiday Resort, Cornwall
Sandymouth is, perhaps rather obviously, located on the beach in Cornwall, but there is more to do on-site.
The Go Active activity selection constantly changes, which includes archery, zorbing and fencing for the more active guests, along a pirate ship playpark.
For indoor activities, kids can take part in wizard workshops as well as nightly events such as bingo, quizzes, competitions, karaoke and discos.

2. Devon Cliffs Holiday Park with Haven, Devon
Great views are found at Devon Cliffs, being located high on the hills.
Families can make the most of both an indoor and outdoor pool, depending on the weather, as well as an aerial adventure course.
Raining outside? Go straight to the indoor bowling alley and grab some chips and snacks for the evening.

3. Hemsby Beach Holiday Park, Norfolk
The beach-side resort is just 350 yards from the seaside, perfect for a dip in the sea – we even tried it for ourself, read our review here.
However, also on-site are a range of activities including zorbing, climbing and sea scooters following a huge refurbishment in 2018.
Also not far from the resort is Pleasure Beach theme park with one of the oldest rollercoasters in the UK.

4. Pine Lake By Diamond Resorts, Lancashire
Outdoor enthusiasts should head to Pine Lake with forests and rich countryside surrounding the Scandi-caravans.
Each overlooking the lake, watersports including canoeing, kayaking and speedboats can be used during the stay.
If you want a treat, head to the spa and sauna instead to unwind.
5. Wild Duck Holiday Park with Haven, Norfolk
Haven’s only woodland park, Wild Duck’s outdoor pool has closed for the season as it is only open for the summer, but thankfully the indoor pool is still open.
Activities include archery and golf, but the forest trails best traversed by foot or by bike are just exciting.
Like all Haven parks, there is also daytime and nightly entertainment as well bingo and discos.

6. Swanage Bay View with Aria Resorts, Dorset
Located on the Jurassic Coast, you have beaches and long walking routes to choose from outside the resort.
However, on-site is the indoor swimming pool – with aqua fit classes – and a gym.
For views of the beach and the sea, The View lounge has floor to ceiling windows for a relaxing afternoon.
7. Cayton Bay Holiday Park with Parkdean, North Yorkshire
The Parkdean resort is along the Yorkshire coastline, putting the beach not too far out of reach.
Kids will stay entertained at the indoor heated pool with water slides, as well as the on-site playground.
Work up a sweat with all of the sports, such as volleyball, basketball, crazy golf on an all-weather multi-sports court.
8. Pontins Southport Holiday Park, Merseyside
One of the most affordable holiday parks, it’s hard to see what you can’t do at Pontins Southport.
Go karts, bikes and crazy golf are all on offer, along with a bouncy castle centre, and driving school.
There is also a swimming pool for both adults and kids to enjoy together, while you can grab a pint at the resort’s The Queen Vic Pub.

9. Birchington Vale with Park Holidays, Kent
Along with four beaches, Birchington Vale is also near Margate and Brighton for a day trip to the seaside.
Also at the holiday park is an indoor pool with a water flume, as well as a crazy golf course and adventure playground.
Accommodation ranges from new luxury lodges to glamping pods.

10. Tattershall Lakes with Away, Lincolnshire
Tattershall Lakes is, perhaps unsurprisingly, full of lakes.
There are six lakes, one for waterskiing, one for jet-skiing and others for watersports including paddle boarding and fishing.
A man-made beach and outdoor cinema is also on-site, as well as a new £1.5m outdoor heated lido, but if the weather turns, you can head to the indoor heated pool and splash zone.
