Located just off the coast of Tuscany in Italy, the island of Elba offers some stunning views.

It's one of the biggest islands in Italy and is part of the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago, the largest marine park in Europe.

Aside from the gorgeous Mediterranean beaches, the island is known for its impressive fortresses and its mineral-rich mud baths.

And with Napoleon having once been exiled to the island, there's plenty of history to discover too.

: "Even if rain is rare on Elba Island in May, it can still occur. But on Elba rain is no longer a problem!

"With the initiative "Elba No Rain", during the month of May and from September - October, if rain happens to occur during your stay, you won’t have to pay for your overnight accommodation!"

There are 14 hotels on the island that are participating in the scheme, ranging from luxury hotels to camping sites.

You'll have to email them to request their Elba No Rain tariff, and to book.

In order for you to get a refund though, it will have to rain for two hours or more between the hours of 10am and 8pm.
