Best UK theme park Christmas events including Santa sleepovers at Legoland and Alton Towers
SOME of the UK's most popular theme parks have been transformed into Christmas wonderlands.
It means families can make the most of the festive season, when theme parks are usually closed, to see everything from Santa's grotto to live shows.
Alton Towers, Legoland and Drayton Manor are just some of the parks that will give kids the chance to meet Father Christmas, as well as receive a gift from the man himself.
Some events will even let families stay overnight, with fireworks, performances and rides open in the evening.
So if you're looking for something festive for all the family, here are the best Christmas attractions to head to this year.
Alton Towers
Guests at Alton Towers can stay over at the theme park for Santa's Sleepover.
Kids will be able to stay for one night in a themed hotel, and enjoy a unique visit to Father Christmas.
Also included are tickets to CBeebies Land, the indoor waterpark, Robin Hood pantomime, and a nine-hole crazy golf course.
A festive dinner and evening entertainment, as well as a buffet breakfast, free gift and a farewell from Santa, are part of the experience too.
The event runs on November 24, as well as December 1, 8, 14 and 23.

Drayton Manor
Drayton Manor is opening their Magical Christmas event for another year on selected dates between November 16 and December 31.
Kids can meet Father Christmas at the Castle of Dreams as well as meet reindeer at the zoo.
Thomas the Tank Engine has a new live show themed around the festive season, while a 4D screening of Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas will also be airing.
Families will be able to watch the Magical Christmas parade show with a fireworks display in the evening.

Visit Chessington between November 23 and January 6 for their Winter Tails event.
On selected dates, kids can meet the Gruffalo as well as Santa in his grotto while decorating festive treats in the Gruffalo Kitchen.

From November 30 to December 24, kids will love the festive events all made from the iconic bricks.
On selected dates, the Brickmas Express train will travel throughout the park.
Miniland will feature miniature Lego Father Christmas and his reindeer, while a show at the Christmas Kingdom will include a special Lego gift from Santa.
You can also see Mrs Claus to build a Lego train at her toy shop.
