Inside the lavish £158m Boeing private jet featuring a ‘royal throne’, bedroom and even bathroom with shower
AN avid aviation blogger has revealed his best flight of 2019 – a private jet experience on board a lavish $200million (£158million) Boeing private jet.
Sam Chui had the incredible plane – which was once owned by a head of state – all to himself on a four hour journey from Hamilton in Canada to Marana in the US.
, who’s been on over 2,000 flights to over 100 countries, explained how he was invited onto the flight by the current owner, .
The journey from Canada to the US was actually so the aircraft, which has been on the ground for a year, could undergo maintenance and get a new paint job before it could be sold.
Even though he was in Mauritius at the time, he decided to jump on the plane to Paris and then Toronto, before driving to Hamilton for his exclusive flight.
Fortunately for Sam, he was able to get a full-access tour of the plane as he was the only passenger on board – on a commercial airline, a Boeing 747SP would have carried up to 313 passengers.
He took the jumpseat behind the pilots for the take off, and said that it was “amazing” to see the pilots in action.
Then he went to check out the rest of the plane, starting with the upper deck.
showed 12 rows of “LA-Z-BOY” deep recliner seats, each with a storage area next to them, rather than overhead.
There’s already plenty of leg room, but you can further extend it as the chairs will pretty much fully recline.
Down a spiral staircase, Sam found the master bedroom and bathroom.
There’s a full double bed as well as sofa in the bedroom, all decked out in plush leather.
The bathroom is similarly lavish, with gold fixtures.
And in another bathroom, there’s even a shower so you can freshen up before you get off the flight.
Next, Sam showed a meeting room where a blue “throne” sat at one end of the room, flanked on both sides by leather chairs.
According to Sam, it will even recline 180 degrees at the touch of a button.
Down the corridor, there’s a meeting room, followed by more seats at the back of the plane – all had leather upholstery.
There’s also a private office and other seating spaces throughout the plane.
Sam said he absolutely loved the experience and spent the entire four hour flight trying out every single seat on the plane.
He added: “I love the B747, I love luxury travel, I love classic aviation, what could be better than flying on a B747-SP Private Jet with a full VIP configuration?
“Even better, I had the whole plane to myself!”
Boeing is well known for their super luxurious private jets.
We previously revealed a £300million 777x that looked liked a five-star hotel.
And there’s also a Dreamliner that’s dubbed the flying penthouse.
A couple of travel bloggers previously managed to score private jet flights at Ryanair prices.
