HOTEL guests have shared their clever tricks and hacks to make a holiday much more comfortable.
Shared on Twitter, traveller Rick Klau shared his own advice.
He tweeted, along with a picture: "I don't remember who posted this on Twitter a few years ago, but whoever you are: you have improved every night I've spent in a hotel since."
The tweet has since had more nearly 400,000 likes since it was posted.
It led to hundreds of other Twitter users sharing their top tips on the handy ways to make a hotel room better.
One man solved the problem of a dirty hotel remote, writing: "Using the ice bag to cover the TV remote's germs."
Another issue that was solved was how to leave the power on in a hotel room if you need to take your roomy key card with you.
Jay Harris wrote: "If we're posting hotel tricks, not many people realise you can use any card to keep the power on."
A picture showed a travel card in the card slot, which works to keep the room electricity on.
There are also ways to make the room safer.
Twitter user Cory explained that using a piece of cord and a bead wrapped around a door latch can make the room a bit safer.
Not enough plugs? Oliver Burke wrote: "My hotel hack is one travel adaptor and extension lead."
Reddit users have also shared some of their top hotel tips.
An can be used as a handy counter or table, while is the best way to avoid putting your toothbrush on the dirty sink.
Most TVs also have in the back - perfect if you forgot your plug charger.
Another hotel guest advised to avoid leaving them behind.
They explained: "Attach your car keys to your phone charger so you can't forget it."
