Wales Rugby
The Wales rugby team are one of the most successful in world rugby. The Welsh have finished third at the Rugby World Cup in 1987 and fourth at 2019 and 2011. In the Six Nations, Wales are the second-most successful side in the tournament’s history, winning the title outright 28 times and sharing it on 12 occasions. They have also won the Six Nations Grand Slam 12 times, the last being in 2019. The captain that year, Alun Wyn Jones, is the world record holder for appearances in international rugby with 158 caps. Wales’ head coach is Warren Gatland and their joint captains at the 2023 Rugby World Cup are Jac Morgan and Dewi Lake.
