King Charles’ Coronation
King Charles’ coronation is taking place on May 6, 2023. His Majesty’s coronation in Westminster Abbey will be almost 70 years after his late mother Queen Elizabeth II was crowned.
His wife Camilla will be by his side after she is crowned Queen. Prince William and Princess Kate will be present along with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Prince Harry will also be present at the ceremony, but will not be joined by his wife Meghan Markle, or his children Archie and Lilibet.
Brits will get an extra bank holiday for the event which will fall on Monday, May 8, 2023 – two days after the King is crowned.
