According to , "people familiar with the situation" have revealed that Apple will announce three new iPhones at an event next month.

The new iPhones are likely to go on sale in September.

Also rumoured to be launching this year is a refreshed version of the iPad Pro, an entry-level cheaper iPad with a larger screen, new Apple Watch devices, and a revamped large MacBook Pro.

Sources that reportedly don't want to be identified have also suggested that key audio accessories like AirPods and the HomePod speakers will be receiving updates.

Apple has launched three new iPhones at the same time each year since 2017.

It is rumoured to be planning the same thing this September with "Pro" iPhone models that will succeed the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR.

The phones will reportedly have a triple camera system with a third sensor for ultra-wide angle photos and videos and a 3D rear-facing camera that should boost its augmented reality capabilities.

Low-light photo taking should also be improved and the cameras may rely on artificial intelligence to correct photos and enable the perfect shot.

Video recording is also rumoured to be improved and may come with new features, such as the ability to alter colours and reframe and crop a live video recording.

Reverse wireless charging is also expected.

The new phones may be sturdier than current models thanks to shatter-resistance technology but they should look pretty similar to standard iPhones.

They may be coming with matte finishes and new colours though and new multi-angle Face ID.

On top of this, water resistance is expected to be better, meaning the devices could be submerged under water longer.

Updated OLED screens should also feature as well as faster A13 processors.

A 5G iPhone is not expected until next year.

AirPods 3

The new AirPods will likely be more expensive than the current models, with current prices starting at £159.

They are expected to be water resistant and noise cancelling.

However, they may actually be launched next year as a new version of the entry-level AirPods only came out in March.

Apple Watch and HomePod

The Apple Watch got a new design and bigger screens last year so this years changes are expected to focus on the watchOS 6 software update.

References to unreleased Apple Watch ceramic and titanium models turned up recently in the beta test software for the new update.

Apple is also said to be working on a cheaper version of the £279 HomePod speaker, which hasn't sold very well.

'Cheap' iPad

Apple will reportedly refresh the iPad Pro and its low-end school focused iPad imminently.

Both the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros are expected to be getting updates that are similar to those speculated for the new iPhones.

These updates may include upgraded cameras and faster processors.

Rumours suggest the low-end iPad will have a 10.2-inch screen and that Apple will be discontinuing the 9.7-inch original display size.

Big Macbook

Fans of big laptop screens will be pleased that Apple should be launching a revamped 16-inch screened MacBook Pro.

The laptop screen will probably look similar to the current 15-inch models but will have thinner black bezels surrounding the screen.

If released, this large laptop would be Apple's biggest since it discontinued the 17-inch MacBook Pro in 2012.

The move could be an attempt by the company to draw in professional computer users who may prefer larger screens.

Apple has also already announced that it will be launching a Mac Pro with a 32-inch XDR Pro Display later in 2019.

iPhone tricks to try today

Here are some of the best...

  • Typing cursor – When typing, hold down the space bar to turn your keyboard into a trackpad, letting you move around words and sentences more easily
  • Close all Safari tabs – To do this in one go, simply hold the overlapped squares in the bottom right-hand corner, and press close all tabs
  • Delete lots of photos quickly – Hold down on a photo and then drag your finger diagonally in Photos to select lots of images at once, then hit delete
  • Convert currency quickly – Swipe down from the top of your Home screen (or swipe left to right on an iPhone X), then tap in the bar and type a currency (like $200) and it will automatically covert to your local currency
  • Check if you're due a battery upgrade – Batteries inside smartphones degrade over time. Just go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health, and check out the Maximum Capacity reading. Generally a battery is considered worn when you're down to 80% capacity. If you're below, you can buy a battery swap from Apple
  • Move apps around faster – Hold an app until it starts wiggling, then (while still holding) tap other apps, causing them to stack so you can move them around easier
