MICROSOFT'S annual celebration of all things Xbox features console discounts, a Fortnite special edition, and significant savings on the latest releases.

The most eye-catching thing in the Xbox E3 Sale is a brand-new limited-edition purple Xbox One S, which looks set to cost less than £200.

Expect a discount on the new £199.99 Xbox One S All-Digital Edition too.

The new All-Digital edition of the Xbox One S is essentially the same as the regular One S, except it doesn't have a disc drive.

This means that any games you want to play on it have to be either bought digitally, or be available through Xbox Game Pass.

Fans can expect "up to 75 percent" off new releases "such as Mortal Kombat 11, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2," according to Microsoft.

The Xbox One X has got a big discount for the second year running as well.

Microsoft are knocking £70 off the price of their fanciest machine, meaning there should be bundles for around £380.

The Xbox E3 2019 sale promises to include a whole host of gaming goodies

We don't know exact details of all the discounts in the UK yet, with Microsoft UK just saying that you'll be able to get an "Xbox One S starting at £199" and "save £70 on Xbox One X".

The Xbox UK twitter account shared the US discounts to give fans an idea of what to expect, though.

Those offers include $50 off all Xbox One S bundles, including the Fortnite special and the All-Digital Edition, $100 off Xbox One X consoles and $10 off controllers.

Microsoft has promised to release full when the sale starts on Friday.

The E3 festivities kick off in Los Angeles on Saturday, with Microsoft's briefing on Sunday expected to bring news of the Xbox 2 and their latest in cloud gaming technology.

Sony aren't attending this year, however, so don't hold your breath for PS5 updates.

Sun Gaming will be at the show, to stay tuned for more news as it breaks.
