According to a report by , the Apple headphones with studio-quality sound are likely to arrive this year.

This studio-quality rumour is leading some to refer to the headphones as StudioPods.

As Apple already owns Dre Beats, it is likely that the design of the new headphones could be quite similar to them.

Apple has never released a pair of high end over-ear headphones, preferring to sell EarPods and AirPods and leaving the headphones market to Beats.
