New Star Wars game where Jedi are HUNTED set to be revealed by Apex Legends developer this weekend
THERE'S a new Star Wars game on the way, and it's coming from the developers who brought you Apex Legends and Titanfall.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was announced by EA at their E3 press briefing last year, but little has been heard of it since then.
That's going to change this weekend when Respawn boss Vince Zampella and game director Stig Asmussen take to the stage at this weekend's Star Wars Celebration in Chicago.
You'll be able to watch the announcement live at 7.30 p.m. UK time
The game is described as "this holiday's highly anticipated adventure game", indicating it's on track for release this year and due for release some time in November.
We know it's going to let you play as a Jedi knight, and is set in between the last of the prequels, Revenge of the Sith, and the very first Star Wars movie.
A teaser picture shared by the EAStarWars Twitter account showed the hilt of a lightsaber, and was accompanied by the words 'Don't stand out'.
That makes sense given the first thing Zampella confirmed about the game's was that the story would be set in the "dark times" when the Jedi were being hunted down and exterminated.
It's not the only Star Wars game being shown off this weekend either.
On Friday, a little after the first trailer and title for Star Wars: Episode 9 are expected to be revealed by Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and director J.J. Abrams, there is a panel on Vader Immortal.
That's a VR lightsaber game starring every right-thinking person's favourite Sith Lord that's being developed for the PC-based and Facebook-owned Oculus VR platform.
Interestingly enough, that game is also set in those "dark times" between the prequels and the proper Star Wars movies, though the two projects are not known to be directly related or have any explicit story connection.
While you wait, check out how Apex Legends looks set to introduce one of it's most-requested features, find out how to get some of 2018's best PS4 games at knock-down prices, and why now is the best time ever to jump into Sea Of Thieves.
