PlayStation 5 and controller with built-in screen ‘prototypes’ leak online – but fans think they might be FAKES
PLAYSTATION 5 console and controller images have been leaked online and fans aren't very impressed.
With 18 months to go before Sony reveals the actual PlayStation 5, the photos could provide some clues about what the device might look like but some fans think they're fakes.
Computer hardware website was the first to spot these images, which were posted on Reddit.
HotHardware highlights that the images are allegedly of developer kit devices so the final console and controller could look very different and, based on fans reactions to the potential new device designs, this could be a good thing.
The pictured controller has a touch screen on top of it, a feature which has been rumoured to be in the works several times now.
The console in question is quite big and bulky, which could indicate the need for more cooling space or graphics modules.
This image shows the screen lit up with what looks like a chat window.
Other people have suggested that the screen could be useful for displaying maps in games that require them, like Red Dead Redemption.
Sony has not yet confirmed or denied any rumours about the PlayStation 5 so fans still have a long wait ahead before they can find out the facts but all current signs are hinting at a 2020 release date.
