Speedy iPhone ‘supercharger’ can power your phone to 80% from zero in under an hour – and it’s cheaper than Apple’s own
Anker's PowerPort offers a whopping five charging points
IF you’re looking for a new charger for your iPhone, then you could do worse than buying one of these puppies.
Anker’s PowerPort I gadget costs £20 less than Apple’s own 30W charger, and can juice up your phone by 80% in under an hour.
The jet-black gadget is designed to sit on your desktop and charge several devices at once.
It offers a whopping five charging points, including a Power Delivery Port for your MacBook Air 2018 or iPad Pro 2018, as well as four PowerIQ lightning ports for your iPhone.
That means the device can charge four iPhones at once, and fits models stretching from the recent XS and XS Max all the way back to 2016’s iPhone 7.
But it’s the price that’ll tempt most punters.

At a hair under £30, the PowerPort I is a steal compared to Apple’s official 30W USB-C chargers.
Those are priced at £50 a pop, and only offer one port to plug your gizmos into.
The PowerPort has speed on its side, too.
It’ll fully power up an iPhone X in two hours, according to Anker – more than an hour faster than one of Apple’s stock chargers.
If you need some juice for your iPad, the PowerPort will power it up in 3.5 hours, 40 minutes quicker than an Apple charger.
The PowerPort isn’t perfect though, and won’t be for everyone.
For one, it’s far chunkier than Apple’s own 30W charger, and leaves a messy tangle of cables across your desktop.
The device also only comes in black and white, which won’t be to everyone’s tastes.
All in all though, it offers a solid price for anyone who wants a bunch of secondary ports at their disposal.
