SHARE THE NERD-LOVE

Valentine’s Day 2019 – Fortnite shares the love, Candy Crush chases stars, and love is in the air for World of Warcraft

Loads of games are letting players celebrate Valentine's Day this year - here are a few of our favourites

LOVE is in the air all over the world of video games this week.

Fortnite is holding a Share The Love event with some sweet rewards on offer, including some specifically for those already showing the love by using Creator Codes to give a share of their in-game spending to Fortnite content creators.

As part of the celebration, anyone who uses a Creator Code to nominate a creator between now and February 22 will be rewarded with a gloriously pink Cuddle Hearts wrap.

There will also be a slew of new 'Overtime' challenges which give players with five new rewards including the Valentine Wrap and Vines Contrail.

Battle pass owners also get "new unlockable styles for the Trog, Powder, and Onesie outfits."

Epic Games is also going to be sharing some move love of their own with a Featured Island Frenzy, which see a new Featured Island for Fortnite Creative every day.

There's also a new competitive series with a new divisional structure.

All the events are set to round out Season 7, ready for the launch of Season 8 on February 28.

For fans of the more puzzly side of casual gaming, Candy Crush Friends is also throwing a party for V-Day.

There are 20 new "love-filled" levels for users to enjoy, along with other in-game goodies.

Meanwhile, World of Warcraft fans are preparing for the annual Love Is In The Air event, and trying to claim their very own Big Love Rocket.

It's running from February 12 until some time on February 26.

The event traditionally sees all the game's cities decorated for the event, as well as load of new quests, events and items to keep players entertained.

It's been going since a small celebration that started in 2006 evolved into a two-week festival of love in 2010.

Over in Destiny there's a week-long Crimson Days event.

You need to find a buddy to couple up with for a doubles PvP event, and then complete in-game challenges to pick up enough Confectionary Hearts to nab some rewards.

As well as a new vehicle to zip around on, there's a special bow called The Vow players can pick up.

It's also worth noting that Valentine's Day sees the return of Overwatch League.
