This Samsung Galaxy S10 ‘leak’ looks BETTER than the iPhone XS

SAMSUNG could trump the Apple iPhone with next year's Galaxy S10 smartphone – at least when it comes to design.

Recent hints from Samsung – and a leaked render of what could be the phone – suggest we'll see a much more attractive gadget in 2019.

An image of the "Galaxy S10" was posted to Twitter by prominent mobile industry leaker and designer .

Importantly, the pictured handset doesn't appear to have a "notch" on the screen.

Part of the problem for phone makers is that trying to fill a smartphone's front with screen leaves zero space for a selfie camera.

So Apple and others have been forced to put a "notch" at the top of the display, housing sensors – and cutting into the screen.

But this apparent Samsung Galaxy S10 handset has no notch.

Instead there's a tiny circular dot on the screen, presumably with the selfie camera behind it.

Apart from that, the screen spans the entire from of the device.

This makes it look significantly more impressive than even Apple's latest iPhone XS smartphone.

Excitingly, Samsung itself has suggested this design will debut on future handsets.

Speaking at this week's Samsung Developer Conference, the company showed off a host of new mobile phone displays, as spotted by .

Three of them could potentially appear on the Galaxy S10 next year: the Infinity-U, Infinity-V, and Infinity-O.

The Infinity-U has a small U shaped cut-out at the top of the screen, while the Infinity-V's mini-notch is more angular.

And the Infinity-O screen looks almost identical to the Twitter render – although with the dot in a different position.

Gadget fans have long predicted that smartphones would eventually adopt a dot-style notch.

Samsung itself has confirmed the design with its Infinity-O screen.

So even if the Twitter render isn't based on Samsung's official plans, it's still a very solid representation of what a future Samsung phone could look like.

Samsung also used this week's Developer Conference to show off its long-awaited foldable smartphone.

The handset is actually a tablet that can flip down to smartphone size – making it pocketable.

But the device has proved controversial, with some Apple fans dubbing it "desperate" and "garbage".
