EA servers for FIFA, Battlefield and Madden still down worldwide
Over an hour after reports started coming in from across the world that those trying to play EA games online are being told they have 'lost connection to EA servers', services are yet to be restored
GAMERS trying to play EA games online are being told they have 'lost connection to EA servers' and are unable to play.
Problems seemed to start a little after 1pm UK time, and are ongoing.
EA's UK help site is currently not accessible either, with requests to it timing out.
Users are understandably frustrated by the outage, with one saying "EA website down also. Typical, I can't even lodge a complaint!"
Another complained on Twitter, saying "playing my last remaining game in squad battles on Fifa 19 today and I was all set to enter the top 100 for the first time. Then your s***ty ea servers go down and deny me my glory. Spend money sorting your f***ing servers out. Every f***ing year, same f***ing s***."
Players across the world have reported being unable to connect to any EA titles, with FIFA 19, Battlefield 1, Madden 19, and EA's Origin platform all reported as being down.
There are individual reports from across Europe, as well as the Americas, Asia and Africa being reported by status-tracking website DownDetector.
The problems also encompass the FIFA mobile app.
EA confirmed at 1.15p.m. UK time that they were aware of "connectivity issues affecting players" and claimed to be working to resolve them.
According to users reporting their status via DownDetector, Origin services were starting to come back up by 2p.m. but there were still widespread reports of players being unable to connnect to the games themselves.
EA support claimed that by 2.30p.m. all services were "slowly recovering", but many users are still reporting issues.
