Black Ops 4 Blackout tips – avoid THESE spots if you want to stay alive in new Call of Duty mode

Most of the fighting takes place around built up areas of the map and named locations

Blackout Heat Map

CALL of Duty developer Treyarch has released a heat map for the newly launched Black Ops 4, showing where the most dangerous areas are in the Blackout map.

The heat map reveals that more activity is concentrated around buildings and named locations, although the spread of action is still balanced overall.

Blackout is the battle royale mode of Black Ops 4, which is currently being hyped as the game to steal Fortnite's crown as 'king of multiplayer shooters.'

In September, Treyarch ran a beta for the mode, and earlier this week it  a heat map showing where most of the fighting took place.

As might be expected, built up and named locations were very active, with Rivertown, Nuketown Island and the Firing Range being the 'hottest' places.

So anyone who wants an easier ride while playing the game is advised to stay away from these locations, otherwise they risk facing plenty of enemies.

However, what's interesting is that the activity is spread fairly equally around the map, so nowhere is completely safe.

Even in remote areas surrounding central locations there are still pockets of action, which probably takes place when players move from one location to another.

And while there were safer surrounding areas, owners of the game should remember that the heat map was captured during a beta test.

Players of the officially released game may behave differently from beta testers, who may have wanted to explore the map rather than stay in the best location.

Which is why it would be nice if Treyarch releases a similar heat map a month or so from now, so that players can see how the game has evolved since being made available to the general public.
