SONY has responded to Nintendo's success with their NES and SNES with the PlayStation Classic, a miniaturised version of their original home console.
The gaming giant has finally revealed all the games you'll get on it, after revealing in September it was going reintroduce the nostalgia just in time for Christmas. But is it available to pre-order and what games are Sony including? Here is the lowdown...
When is the Sony PlayStation Classic released in the UK?
The Sony PlayStation Classic will be released worldwide on Monday, December 3, 2018.
The console will include two original controllers as well as a HDMI socket however gamers will have to supply their own compatible USB AC adaptor.
It serves as Sony's first attempt to release a mini retro console, following in the footsteps of Nintendo who have achieved great success with the NES Classic Mini and a SNES Classic Mini.
The miniature console will be approximately 45% smaller than the original grey PlayStation console.
What games are on it?
Sony has confirmed the miniature console will arrive pre-loaded with 20 games which will be "playable in their original format."

The PlayStation Classic is available to pre-order right now from and for £89.99.
Shopto has it for a few pennies less , while Smyth's Toys also have it .

The original PlayStation was released in Japan in December 1994 and became the first console in video game history to ship over 100 million units worldwide.
Sony revealed in their announcement that the two controllers can be used for "local multiplayer within compatible titles".
However, it seems that online play is off the table as the PlayStation classic doesn't look to have any networking features.
