CIVILIZATION VI is coming to Nintendo Switch this winter.

A trailer shown off during the firm's delayed Nintendo Direct presentation officially revealed that you'll be able to play the latest iteration of the classic strategy series on Switch from November 16.

Publisher 2K games revealed that the game will come with "the latest game updates and improvements, and four pieces of additional content which adds four new civilisations, leaders, and scenarios."

Those additions bring the total of leaders and civilisations up to 24, each with their own unique traits, units and buildings for you to leave your mark on the world with.

News of the coming launch leaked online shortly after the time last night's Nintendo Direct was originally meant to broadcast before being delayed in light of the Hokkaido earthquake.

The Switch release is the only current confirmed home console port of the game, though it did come out on iPad.

Nintendo also revealed that Cities: Skylines is now available for Switch -- and you can get the city-building sim .

It features a redesigned UI for Switch, as well as the After Dark and Snowfall expansions.

Nintendo also used the presentation to announce a host of other Switch titles, including Animal Crossing, a host of Final Fantasy games, a new Luigi's Mansion game, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, and Katamari Damacy Rerolled.
