New iPhone selling out as delivery times rocket to TWO WEEKS for some models

WAITING times for some of Apple's new iPhones are now as long as two weeks for some models.

The 2018 iPhones became available for pre-order at 8am on Friday morning, and already seem very popular.

Apple's latest handsets are supposed to ship to customers on the official release date – September 21.

But early interest in the phones means you'll have to wait even longer, depending on which model you choose.

Right now, it's possible to get the iPhone XS in Silver with any storage configuration on the release date.

But if you want an iPhone XS Max in Space Grey with 64GB of storage, you'll have to wait up to two weeks to get one delivered.

It's worth noting that other retailers offering pre-order purchases the phones may have different shipping times.

And keen buyers will still be able to turn up at the Apple Store next Friday, in hopes of bagging a new phone on the spot.

Apple revealed its new smartphones on Wednesday evening, at a special event in California.

The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are some of the largest Apple handsets to date, boasting 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch screens respectively

They're also extremely expensive, costing anywhere from £999 through to £1,449 for the very top model.

Improvements include a faster A12 processor, new iOS 12 software, and an improved camera system.

New iPhone UK prices revealed

Here's how much the new 2018 models will cost you in the UK...

  • iPhone XR (64GB) – £749
  • iPhone XR (128GB) – £799
  • iPhone XR (256GB) – £899
  • iPhone XS (64GB) – £999
  • iPhone XS (256GB) – £1,149
  • iPhone XS (512GB) – £1,349
  • iPhone XS Max (64GB) – £1,099
  • iPhone XS Max (256GB) – £1,249
  • iPhone XS Max (512GB) – £1,449

There's also a third 6.1-inch model called the iPhone XR that comes in at a cheaper £749.

This phone has less impressive specs, but looks practically identical to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max.

Sadly, the iPhone XR won't be available to order until October 9 – with the phone releasing just over a week later.

All stock information was correct at the time of writing, but may have since changed.
