Pixel 3 leak offers first proper look at Google’s next flagship smartphone

WE'VE seen our fair share of Pixel 3 XL leaks, but now it's the smaller Google phone's time to shine.

Notorious Twitter tipster @SlashLeaks has brought the goods, showing off the regular Pixel 3 in all its notch-less glory.

That's right the standard Pixel 3 will ditch the divisive panel popularised by the iPhone X for, well, regular bezels – how 2016!

Pictured here is the black model with those sizeable borders at the top and bottom – we've seen the XL in white so can specualte that its smaller sibling will also come in that colour.

The rear of the device shows that single camera with flash (just like its predecessor) and the fingerprint sensor below it in the middle. There's also the Google "G" logo at the bottom.

A recent unboxing video out of Russia – where the phone is defiantly being flogged on the black market for £2,000 – showed the accessories that you'll get with it.

They'll include USB-Type C Pixel Buds headphones, a USB Type-C cable, a headphone jack adaptor, a USB Type-C to USB Type-A adaptor, and a European-style wall plug.

Specs-wise, it's almost certain that the two phones will be powered by Qualcomm's new and powerful Snapdragon 845 smartphone processor.

The Google Pixel 2 ran on the older Snapdragon 835 chip, but Qualcomm says its latest version is 25% faster – which means the Pixel 3 could be seriously powerful.

Both phones will also tout glass backs for wireless charging.

Google has already confirmed that the flagships will come with its new Android 9 Pie operating system, while a bizarre Google leak outed its October 4 launch date.

But a Bloomberg report later contradicted that with its own October 9 prediction, citing sources close to the matter.

That's between roughly 3-4 weeks after the iPhone XS reveal on September 12.
