FORTNITE developer Epic Games has surprised fans with its latest patch by introducing a complete overhaul to one of the map's most original locations.

Fortnite Tomato Head skin challenge - where is Tomato Temple on the map?

Tomato Temple can be found in the same spot as the now extinct Tomato Town, however, the new location features more vegetation and contains an underground section.

The new location also marks the return of the giant Tomatohead, which last was seen from its original spot on top of a restuarant in TT at the end of Season four.

The update coincided with the release of the 5.30 patch which also introduced the Rift-To-Go item and the new limited time Score Royale LTM.

Epic has also released the free Fortnite 'Boogie Down' emote by enabling two-factor authentication on your account.

How do you unlock the skin?

To celebrate the addition of Tomato Temple to the map, the popular Tomatohead skin has returned to the Fortnite store, albeit with a new twist.

The outfit costs 1,500 V-Bucks and once equipped, players can now attempt to the complete the new exclusive Tomatohead challenges.

These challenges can be accessed under the regular challenges tab in Battle Royale after you have purchased the Tomatohead skin.

Once you complete all three challenges as Tomatohead, players will be rewarded with the Tomatohead crown.

When was Fortnite season 5 released and what were the changes?

Fortnite Season 5 was officially released on July 12, 2018, and a new Battle Pass brought new skins, emotes and locations to change the look of the map.

As always a new Battle Pass brings with it plenty of new skins, emotes and pickaxes and the main customisable upgradeable skins this time are called Drift and Ragnarok.

It will include vehicles, with a new All Terrain Kart, which holds up to four people and has a bounce pad on the roof.

Original location Anarchy Aches has also paved way for the introduction of beachside holiday site Lazy Links.

Moisty Mire has also been wiped from memory in place of a new desert biome called Paradise Palms, a tropical-themed location in the south-east area of the map.

The desert has "unique ambient audio", while other areas will be getting their own versions "in future updates", according to Epic Games.

Competitive play with a HUGE prize pool is also on the way, but this is separate from this patch.

For a limited time period, Fortnite's birthday challenges were available to complete to celebrate the game's one-year anniversary.
