Get a free Fortnite ‘Boogie Down’ emote with this easy trick

THERE'S an easy way to get a free emote in Fortnite – and it's not a scam.

You can get an emote in Fortnite for free by enabling two-factor authentication on your account

The Boogie Down emote is a reward from Epic Games for enabling two-factor authentication on your account.

The new emote is part of Fortnite's latest 5.30 patch update.

As the name it suggests, it's a cool dance move that you can show off to your mates in-game.

So how does it all work?

Never enter your Fortnite password online unless it's on www.fortnite.com or www.epicgames.com

Two-factor authentication is a method of verifying your identity twice when you log in.

This means that if someone steals (or guesses) your Fortnite account password, they'll come up stuck.

To log in, you'll also need to enter a unique verification code send to your email address.

So if someone wanted to nab your Fortnite account, they'd have to break into your email inbox too.

How to enable two-factor authentication on Fortnite – and get Boogie Down emote

Getting set up with two-factor authentication – or 2FA for short – is easy.

First, head to this website (the official Fortnite webpage):

Then log into your Epic Games account, click your username, and head to Account Settings.

Once you're there, go to Password and Security, then scroll down to Two Factor Sign-In.

Press the button below it, and follow the instructions.

You'll need a valid email address to set it up, of course.
Once you're done, you'll be emailed every time someone tries to log into your Fortnite account on a new device.

When you log back into Fortnite, you should see the Boogie Down emote waiting for you.

It's not clear how long the Boogie Down emote will be available for free for, so we recommend snapping it quickly.

In any case, it's important to set up 2FA on your account – if only to stop hackers nabbing your hard-earned profile.
