THERE'S ALOT of confusion regarding Fortnite for Android's Samsung Galaxy exclusivity period – so we went straight to the source to clear things up for good.

We put the question to the company's "product specialists" at its Galaxy Note 9 London launch event earlier today.

Like everyone else, we wanted to know when the public will get its hands on the Android release – including those who don't own a Galaxy handset.

Well, we can confirm that it's two weeks as of August 9 (or a fortnight).

That means from August 23 those who sign up for beta invites will also be able to play Fortnite on other supported devices (the full list of which can be found here).

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Tab S4 users are also getting an extra perk in the form of exclusive Galaxy and K-Pop skins.

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney announced the Fortnite-Samsung team-up at the latter's Unpacked event in New York on Thursday.

"Just about every gamer wants to know the same thing – when is Fortnite coming to Android?" he said onstage.

"About that, we're going to be launching the Fortnite beta on Android this week and players with Samsung Galaxy devices are the first to be invited, starting right now."
