BRIGHT FUTURE

New iPhone promised in Flash Yellow, Bright Orange and Electric Blue colour options

You'll be spoilt for choice when snapping up Apple's upcoming cheaper iPhone

APPLE’S upcoming cheaper 6.1-inch iPhone could come in a total of seven colours including Flash Yellow, Bright Orange and Electric Blue.

And if the brighter models aren’t to your liking, you’ll also be able to get it in more traditional white, black, taupe – and possibly even gold.

The new colours match the iPhone X leather case line-up

The tip – which comes from Japanese Apple blog – contradicts an earlier report from analyst Ming Chi Kuo, which claimed the device would land in gold, grey, white, blue, red, and orange.

Whatever the case, you’ll be getting the new blower in almost as many colours as a rainbow.

This 6.1-inch model is rumoured to cost somewhere between £500 and £600, which would make it highly affordable for an iPhone.

Macotakora’s prediction harks back to the line-up offered on that other budget Apple device, the iPhone 5C (which came in green, blue, yellow, pink, and white).

And as the blog suggests, the colours are also similar to to that of the iPhone X leather case line-up.

The new 6.1-inch iPhone may also be available in taupe

Though the website doesn’t mention a red version, we can assume Kuo is right on that part as Apple gave its iPhone 8 a lick of scarlet paint earlier this year.

The LCD iPhone is tipped to arrive alongside two pricier models with super-sharp OLED screens: the 5.8-inch iPhone X2 and 6.5-inch iPhone X2 Plus (Apple’s biggest-ever handset).

All three blowers are expected to be unveiled at an Apple event this autumn.

In addition to the bevy of colours for the LCD iPhone, the iPhone X2 Plus is also expected to come in gold.
