Fly Explosives LTM, Fourth of July skins and new emotes revealed from Fortnite 4.5 patch data

FORTNITE'S army of data miners have been at it again, revealing all manner of secrets buried in the latest update to the hit shooter.

Some time soon the fun of jetpacks will be combined with the fun of high explosives in a new time-limited mode called Fly Explosives, according to .

While they may be dangerous to you and everyone else, jetpacks sure do look cool

Want a jetpack? Then Epic says you'll have to "search those attics and basements," according to the information extracted from the latest patch files, as they will be found on the floor across the map.

The mode will also feature all "explosive-type weapons" which will "usually" be found in chests and supply drops. Once you've picked up a grenade launcher, rocket launcher or just some grenades to lob, you can set about blowing the rest of the field to bits to achieve that elusive Victory Royale.

Fly Explosives is a follow-up to the popular High Explosives LTM which has already run twice, the last time during Season 3. It'll be open to solo players, duos and squads.

The mined information did not, alas, include a release date. However, we'd expect it to arrive for the Fourth of July, given the seasonal changes and additions related to explosives and fireworks revealed in the patch notes yesterday.

Other leaks reveal some more Fourth of July specials, including some US flag inspired skins, fireworks back bling and more.

There's also new Prohibition-era style tommy gun called the Drum Gun on the way, to go with some new police outfits from the same era. It won't be classified as a machine gun, though, but an assault rifle. Go figure.

Codemonkeys have also unearthed new emotes that will be coming to a football field near you soon.

These include the Infinite Dab and the Eagle, which you can see below, as well as True Heart, Bring It, and Sparkler.

Yesterday the 4.5 update hit, and you can read all about the changes to both Battle Royale and Save The World here.

Playground mode is, at time of writing, STILL offline , but everything else seems to be working OK.
