What are Pokemon Go Alola forms?
They are called Alola forms because they come from the Alolan region in the main series games.
But these new Pokemon are the same species only they have grown up under different environmental conditions and so have evolved differently.
Pokemon from the Alola region were first seen in 2016 when Pokemon Sun & Moon were released.
As well as new creatures, the Alola region contained sun-loving variations of first-generation Pokemon, and it's these that will be initially heading to Pokemon Go very soon.
And you will be able to catch Raichu, Vulpix and Ninetales.
