Nintendo Switch Pokemon details ‘leak’ – and suggest link with Pokemon Go
Pokémon Let's Go! Pikachu and Pokémon Let's Go! Eevee are rumoured to be coming out this year -- and more information is meant to follow in the next few weeks
NINTENDO teased a Pokemon game for the Nintedo Switch at E3 last year, and it seems like a full reveal may be just around the corner.
There has been a steady flow of unverified rumour around the game since that tease. Much recently suggesting that the game will come in two editions -- as is traditional with main Pokemon games -- which will be called Pokémon Let's Go! Pikachu and Pokémon Let's Go! Eevee.
Those rumours gained more credence today when web sleuths on Twitter noticed that domain-registration company CSC Corporate Domains yesterday registered pokemonletsgopikachu.com and pokemonletsgoeevee.com.
While there is no official link to Nintendo, publishers will often use third parties such as CSC to pre-register domains for their games so as not to spoil their own official announcements. Nintendo themselves have used the firm in the past -- specifically before the launch of Pokemon Sun and Moon back in 2016.
This comes days after a logo appeared online showing the rumoured title, suggesting that Nintendo may well have felt that they couldn't wait any longer without risking their domains being snatched up by squatters.
Other rumours suggest that the game will be based in the game's Kanto region, and revisit the area first seen in 1998's Pokemon Yellow.
Irrespective of any rumours it would be very surprising if Nintendo's E3 briefing didn't feature the new Pokemon game in some form--so even if more information doesn't come out in the next week or so, you'll almost certainly only have to wait until 12 June at 5pm UK time.
