Fortnite Season 4 Week 1 Challenges revealed – how to do the new Battle Pass missions
Don't spend ages struggling to crack a challenge, and follow our simple guide instead
THE latest Fortnite season has begun, and that means brand new weekly challenges to enjoy.
Below you'll find all the latest details on the Fortnite Season 4 Week 1 Challenges, as well as some tips on how to complete them.
What are Fortnite daily and weekly Challenges?
Epic Games adds new daily challenges on a rolling 24-hour basis.
They're usually mini-quests based around combat, so you'll probably find you have to kill a certain number of people with a particular weapon.
You'll find the daily challenges on your main menu.
Weekly challenges are a bigger undertaking, which is why you get an entire week to finish them.
You'll find them in a dedicated tab at the top of your screen – but they're only available to Battle Pass owners. That'll cost you 950 V-Bucks in the in-game store.
Most of the quests will be around searching chests, tracking down specific locations, or daily challenge-style kill challenges.
You get rewards for completing each challenge, and you don't even have to finish them within that week.
Simply finish them before the season ends (in this case, season 4), and you'll bag yourself the prize.
How to complete Fortnite Week 1 Challenges in Season 4
Here's what you'll need to do.
Deal 500 damage with Sniper Rifles to opponents – The hardest part of this will be tracking down a sniper rifle. If you get lucky and bag one, you'll just need to deal 500 damage. That's the equivalent of killing five enemies. (5 stars)
Search 7 Chests in Haunted Hills – This one speaks for itself. Head to Haunted Hills and rummage around for chests to complete this challenge. (5 stars)
Use a Port-a-Fort once – The new Port-a-Fort weapon was added very late in Season 3. It's a throwable item that builds a giant defensive fort in a flash. Using it is easy – but actually getting one will simply depend on luck. (5 stars)
Search 8 F-O-R-T-N-I-T-E Letters – Find the letters using . (5 stars)
Follow the treasure map found in Tomato Town (Hard) – Go to the E4 square of your map and follow the treasure map – in Tomato Town, right near Loot Lake. (10 stars)
Get 3 Pistol Eliminations (Hard) – Pistols suck, frankly. But if you can pick one up very early on in the game, you might be able to get a few quick kills before your opponents are armed to the teeth. (10 stars)
Eliminate 3 opponents in Flush Factory (Hard) – There's not much you can do other than pray that people turn up at Flush Factory. It's usually quiet, but given that this is a weekly challenge, expect loads of people landing there. We'd recommend getting there early – you don't want to get caught out by the shrinking storm. (10 stars)
When do Fortnite's daily and weekly challenges reset?
The weekly challenges reset every Thursday, but the time depends on where you live:
In the UK it's 9am (BST), in Europe it's 10am (CEST), on the east coast of the USA it's 4am (EDT), and on the west coast it's 1am (PDT).
