Google reveals new Gmail design that lets you snooze your emails
The tech giant has teased snippets of the redesigned Gmail which is set to be rolled out in weeks
THESE images give a sneak-peek at Google’s new Gmail design and reveal new features that will be rolled out in the next few weeks.
The web design will include easier access to other Google apps, a snooze email option and extra smart replies.
The biggest change to the service – which had its last makeover in 2014 – will be the sidebar appearing on the right hand side of the inbox.
Here users will be able to use other Google apps like Calendar to schedule meetings without the hassle of clicking back and forth between screens.
In addition to the business-savvy task bar users will now be able to snooze emails so they will reappear in their inbox hours or days later.
Although already rolled out on its mobile app the tech giant looks set to expand this feature to desktops.
The company has also come up with a number of extra smart replies which is a time-saving feature that suggests short responses to emails which users can send with one tap.
Those who have taken to using the mobile version of the service are already familiar with the feature.
Both Snooze and Smart Reply were introduced on the mobile app last year.
The re-branded Gmail will roll out three different layouts including a default view that highlights emails with attachments like documents and photos, a comfortable view that doesn’t and a compact view that increases the amount of message users can see on a single page.
Google is also said to be working on a new way to store emails computer for offline access.
The newly revamped Gmail is expected to be rolled out within weeks.
