linking to a YouTube video slammed it for charging full price for what comes off as an incomplete product.
Other users chimed in by saying the game should have cost half its current £42 price tag.
"It's not even worth $30. There's nothing in this game," said Reddit user r/_DryvBy_.
"Most of my enjoyment of the game has come from “off the cuff” moments my friends and I have created. Theres not alot of direction or progression from the game itself," noted r/Djfail.
The game's critical reception has been mixed too, with reviews aggregation site Metacritic giving it a score of 71 out of 100 based.
The consensus seems to be that the game's beautifully realised open world isn't populated with enough interesting quests.
But the backlash hasn't stopped it from sailing to the top spot on the UK game charts in a week that was dominated by new releases.
Four out of the top 5 titles were fresh, including A Way Out, Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom and Assassin's Creed Rogue Remastered.
