Amazon to stop selling ANOTHER Google gadget in bitter tech feud?

Google's smart home brand Nest is the latest casualty in the ongoing feud between it and Amazon, with the connected gadgets set to vanish from the shopping site

The spat between Amazon and Google is escalating, with the latter preparing to stop sales of a slew of its gadgets on the online shopping site.

Amazon already refuses to sell Google's Pixel phones and Google Home smart speakers.

In retaliation, Google has decided to halt sales of its Nest smart home products on Amazon.com.

The latest bout in the tussle of the tech heavyweights was kicked off by Amazon's decision to stop sales of Nest's newer products (including the Nest Cam IQ and its new thermometer).

According to anonymous sources who spoke to , Amazon spent weeks ignoring Nest and then informed it that the order "came from the top."

The Google-owned firm took this to mean that it had been handed down by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.

As a result, Nest promptly decided to cut ties with the e-retailer.

Nest's reasoning is that Amazon should be selling its entire line-up or nothing at all.

Amazon and Google refused to comment.

It's currently unclear whether consumers will be able to buy Nest's connected gadgets through third-party sellers on Amazon Marketplace.

Nest is the latest casualty in the ongoing war between two firms, both of which are trying to stamp their mark on the smart home space.

While Google has its Google Home speakers and Nest gadgets, Amazon boasts its popular Alexa-powered devices, chief among them its Amazon Echo audio hardware family.

Jeff Bezos and co. also recently snapped up smart doorbell-maker Ring, which is expected to form part of the Amazon's in-home delivery service: Amazon Key.

Exclusive to Amazon Prime members, the new feature allows couriers key-less entry into your home using a web-connected camera.

Aside from nixing Google's phones and speakers, Amazon has yet to re-list its rival's Chromecast streaming device, after promising to restart sales of it in December.

As payback, Google blocked YouTube from Amazon's smart-speaker-with-a-screen, the Amazon Echo Show.
