The new Snap Maps feature on Snapchat has spawned a whole new breed of memes that poke fun at cities across the world

SNAPCHAT users are creating hilarious memes using the new Snap Maps feature.

The map lets you check in on what people in other cities or countries are doing around the world, which has revealed some odd goings-on.

But other users are also embedding their own funny clips into videos, creating a whole new type of Snapchat meme.

Snapchat released Snap Maps back in the summer of 2017, giving users a way to see where their Snapchat friends were in the world.

Tapping on a small avatar on Snapchat's map of the earth would reveal the user's Snapchat Story.

But the new feature proved controversial when it launched, with privacy experts fearing that it would lead to stalking.

Those concerns seem to have largely subsided however, with users now taking advantage of the whimsical side of the feature.

Snappers have been uploading creative Snap Map memes based on a whole host of locations, including Disneyland, Jamaica, and the UK's Thorpe Park theme park, as spotted by Buzzfeed.
