PUMPED up for the arrival of the much-hyped iPhone 8? Apple is hosting a special event TODAY where news on the gadget it set to be released.

When is the Apple event announcing the new iPhone 8?
Apple is set to unveil the eagerly-awaited iPhone 8 at a special event TODAY (September 12).
The latest gadget will be revealed alongside new versions of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

How can you watch the Apple event on TV?
The event will take place at the new Steve Jobs Theater inside Apple's headquarters, nicknamed the "Spaceship" or "Fruit Loop".
For those in the UK, there will be a live stream of the two-hour event at 6pm in the UK (which is 10am US Pacific time).

What new features will the iPhone 8 have?
There has been a raft of rumours about the new features the upcoming iPhone 8 will have.
These include facial recognition technology and a brand new screen and camera.

Analysts have hinted that the iPhone charging cable might be removed, just like the headphone jack.
