Apple leaks iPhone 8 specs and designs and inadvertently confirm some some VERY exciting new features
Tech-sperts have noticed something very exciting hidden in the code for Apple's HomePod speaker system
APPLE has accidentally revealed what the next iPhone will look like - and some of its most impressive features.
Fans can expect the new device to come with a snazzy new unlocking system which identifies your face and will have an end-to-end glass screen.
Eagle-eyed developers Steve Troughton-Smith and Guilherme Rambo were sifting through firmware for the brand new HomePod speaker system when they noticed mentions of a mysterious device.
Codenamed “D22”, the pair claim the gadget is the hotly anticipated update to the iPhone.
They spotted details of an infrared facial recognition technology which allows you to unlock the phone using the front-facing camera rather than a fingerprint or pin.
Also hidden was a picture of a smartphone which looks strikingly similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8's end-to-end infinity screen.
The gadget is expected to be announced in September, but may not be available until later in the year.
Rumours are swirling that production issues related to the infinity screen may delay its launch.
The latest seemingly unintentional leaks appear to confirm rumours surrounding the new iPhone's screen.
Several accessory companies have been leaking screen protectors with massive screens and case manufacturers' mock-ups appeared to show the same.
Of course, we won’t actually know anything about the iPhone 8 for sure until Apple announces it in September, the expected date of its unveiling.
