Samsung Galaxy Note 8 release date, price and features REVEALED
SAMSUNG will sneak out a new smartphone just a few weeks before Apple is due to release the iPhone 8.
The South Korean firm has confirmed that its new gadget will be unveiled on August 23 at an "Unpacked" event.
Rumours suggest the Note 8 will cost up to £900 and have a 6.3-inch display, although we'll only find out for sure at the event itself.
Apple watchers expect it to release the iPhone 8 in September for a roughly similar price.
The next Apple smartphone will probably be a blockbuster release to mark the 10th anniversary of the original iPhone's release.
Samsung's smartphone is expected to be pretty spectacular to make up for the disastrous Note 7.
Millions of these premium price gadgets were recalled after several exploded.
They were also banned from flights over fears they might cause a fire.
Following a billion-pound probe, the Korean manufacturer later revealed the problem was due to an issue with the battery, which it promised to fix for this new release.

It's not clear what the new handset will look like but "leaked" pictures of new cases to go with the device could have let the cat out of the bag.
