Apple iOS 11 features may have been LEAKED ahead of official WWDC 2017 unveiling

It looks as if Apple has big ambitions for its tablet devices, judging by the latest rumours echoing around the iRumour mill

APPLE appears to have leaked a key feature of its upcoming iOS 11 software ahead of its official unveiling this evening.

Tim Cook, Apple boss, is expected to show the world a new version of the software which powers iPhones and iPads during a keynote at the annual Worldwide Developers' Conference (WWDC) tonight.

But one eagle-eyed techie has spotted a placeholder listing on the iOS store for an app called Files.

Steve Troughton-Smith share an image of the app on Twitter, sparking speculation that Apple is planning a big change to the way its devices will work.

Although we don't yet have any details of what the app actually does, its name suggests that it will reconfigure the way data is stored on iPads and iPhones.

The iPad Pro being promoted as a device which can replace traditional laptops.

A new file system would go some way towards making Apple's tablets more like computers by allowing users fine control over how their documents and other files are stored.

Of course, we'll have to wait until this evening's WWDC keynote to find out, when Tim Cook is expected to unveil the new operating system along with a rumoured "Siri Speaker".
