APPLE fans are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the iPhone 8, which is expected to be a blockbuster update to mark the 10th anniversary of the first gadget's release.
Tech lovers' anxiety became even more acute when it was claimed that the release of the next iPhone could be delayed by several weeks.
But the latest rumours about the upcoming iPhone 8 should help a few smartphone addicts breathe a bit more easily.
It's been claimed that Apple is "on track" and will announce the new smartphone in September and release it in October.
Traditionally, new iPhones are always announced in September and then unleashed to the ravenous hordes a few weeks later.

It also suggested Apple's Chinese manufacturing firms are already hiring new staff to cope with the demand, which is likely to be intense.
