SKY could be mere days away from unveiling a mystery new TV product that's been leaving viewers guessing for sometime now.
Last month, the broadcasting giant told media a new device that's "smarter, brighter and better than ever" is coming soon.
After reading The Sun's story, users shared their hopes that a new Sky Q box might be on the horizon.
It's almost nine years since Sky launched its last main satellite-based product, Sky Q.
The main focus since has been on its streamed offering, Sky Glass and Sky Stream, which does away with the need for a satellite dish.
But The Sun uncovered a possible hint about what's to come.
Sky's website had a very noticeable stock shortage for Sky Glass.
Stock shortages are sometimes a key sign that a company is phasing out a product, potentially in favour of something else.
But it could also be supply chain issues.
And there was a Sky sale which may have contributed to it as well.
However, three weeks after breaking the story, Sky's website still shows "low stock" for various models of Sky Glass.
Sky Glass made its debut back in October 2021, heralding a new way to watch TV.
Satellite loyalists aren't as keen on the internet-based option because of how recordings are stored.
Satellite boxes allow you to keep the recordings on your box, whereas Sky Glass creates a cloud-based link which have stricter expiry dates you can't get around.
There is also a slight delay for live broadcasts when streaming compared to satellite.
However, Sky has managed to reduce the lag to just nine seconds on its main Sky Sports channel now to avoid being late to important football updates and goals.
For now, these are all just clues and we will have to wait for the days ahead to find out what new device emerges.
