Pokemon TCG Pocket has already been downloaded a whopping 30million times.

But the refresh hasn't come without its problems as multiple users claim the game is crashing since installing the update.

And it all appears to be down to a server issue.

A screenshot shared by some players warns of an "authentication error".

"The server authentication process failed," it reads.

"The game will restart now."

However, it's not clear how widespread the issue may be.

Server problems often occur with online game updates as engineers roll out new features and software, especially with popular titles.

Users have taken to social media to find out what is going on.

"pokemon tcg pocket crashing was inevitable," one wrote on X.

"I’m so mad right now," another commented.

The Mythical Island expansion comes with more than 80 cards.

There are also five new Pokémon ex cards, including Mew, Celebi and Aerodactyl, as well as five new Trainer cards.
