PlayStation fans are confused as Wrap-Up 2024 breaks – you can still claim a special avatar for free
Here’s how to claim your free avatar even while Wrap-Up 2024 is down
PLAYSTATION fans are eagerly awaiting the console’s recap of the year, to check out how much time they spent playing their favourite games.
Sony launched its annual PlayStation Wrap-Up 2024 on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, and as always, you can claim a free item for your PSN profile if you take a peek.
The feature is PlayStation’s own version of Spotify Wrapped, which gives listeners an overview of their most played songs and artists.
Soon after the launch, the end-of-year gaming recap was overwhelmed by the massive number of players who wanted to review their stats and the is now broken.
At the time of writing, the special website is unavailable, showing a “We'll be back soon.” message to users.
This leaves PlayStation fans unable to look back at their gaming year, but also stops them from grabbing a unique PlayStation avatar for free.

How to claim the free PlayStation Wrap-Up 2024 avatar
To grab the free 30th Anniversary avatar, you need to log into the PlayStation app or your PS4 or PS5 console and navigate to the PlayStation Store.
Then you select the Redeem Code option which is found in the More menu.
When prompted to redeem a code, input one of the following three codes based on your region:
- 5H8Q-A37B-6DJ6 (Japan)
- Q237-5LR9-357P (Europe)
- KHKG-H25M-5757 (US)
You need to put in the code that matches the region of your PlayStation account, as the other two codes won’t work.
When doing it through the app, you may get an error, but make sure to check your profile as the avatar is likely there already.
Players have until January 10, 2025, to check their Wrap-Up and claim the code, and no expiration date has been given for the code itself.
