GTA Online’s Winter Update is poised to be the biggest and best yet with exclusive new screenshots
GTA 6’s release is less than a year away but that doesn’t mean you have to wait until 2025 for new GTA content.
Rockstar is planning a huge update for GTA Online to keep us busy during the winter months, covering Los Santos in a blanket of snow and creating new areas for players to explore.
Agents of Sabotage is 2024’s big update, which will allow you to access a new area, The Darnell Bros Garment Factory.
This comes with a passive income safe, Mk 2 Weapon Workshop, and a basement garage you can use as your own hub, giving you fast travel to certain locations.
You can also equip the Benefactor Terrorbyte with a Silent Running module that will hide what you’re doing from others.
There’s even a Missile Lock-On Jammer to stop incoming missiles before they hit.

Much like the past few years, the end-of-the-year update will be huge, including new vehicles, holiday events, and siren options for patrol vehicles.
The exact details will be revealed in tomorrow’s (Tuesday, December 10, 2024) Newswire, so you should stay tuned for that.
Until then we can look at what has made GTA Online so special over the last 11 years for so many of its players.

Despite the violence, rivalry and obvious crime, people make real connections in GTA Online.
Few games require as much collaboration of GTA Online, as the biggest heists require multiple players in order to succeed.
GTA Series’ Yan2295 says: “Christmas 2014 was still the early days of GTA Online, the snow had just been added.
“I invited a bunch of friends who didn't necessarily all know each other to a private session where we spent hours just driving around in the snow admiring the scenery, having snowball fights, shooting off fireworks and just generally having a good time.”
With regular updates, Rockstar has created a sense that anything could happen with GTA Online, and that’s what keeps things so exciting.
Everyone we asked had a different answer for what their favourite Winter Update was, because everyone has such a personal experience while playing.
YouTuber and Twitch streamer Gtamen tells us: “My favorite DLC released in December (2019) – the Casino Heists.
“It really revived my love for the game and was a complete game changer in terms of what Rockstar could do with heists and content in general.
“No longer did you have to go into matchmaking and rely on it to work. You could just do everything in free roam without restrictions.
“The amount of new options for heists allowed for all sorts of ways to tackle them.”
