What are the cocktail snow globes?

The snow globe trend first appeared in 2022 and is making a vast comeback on TikTok in 2024.

In November 2024, the hashtag #snowglobecocktail has had over an unbelievable 3.1 million views as the Christmas period looms.

One viral clip of the cocktail shows the beverage carefully crafted with frozen herbs and berries.

Edible flowers frozen into ice cubes are also used - making them an enjoyable drink and a showstopper at Christmas parties.

How do you make the viral snow globe cocktail?

To start off, it's advised to use clear ice which you can get through using filtered or distilled water and boiling it twice before freezing.

This is to eliminate any air bubbles.

Then, pick your fruits and spices that will take the drink from a normal cocktail to a festive beverage.

Cranberries and orange slices have been widely used on TikTok.

You can also go in with some herbs and botanicals to give it that festive feeling, including sprigs of rosemary, thyme or mint.

To keep these in place, use string or tape against the glass.

Let your assembled snow globe freeze in a freezer-safe glass overnight.

Then, pair your aromatics with spirits like gin and vodka - or swap out alcohol for just a lemonade - to create the perfect seasonal drink.
