Amazon announces Mass Effect TV show following massive success of Fallout
RECENTLY, TV show adaptations of video games have been changing public opinion on the quality of gaming stories.
Both The Last of Us and Fallout had incredible TV adaptations, opening video game storytelling to a whole new audience.
Amazon produced the Prime Video exclusive Fallout series, and it appears the company is hoping to recreate that success.
announced that Amazon is working on a TV show based on BioWare’s Mass Effect series with the help of Fast & Furious 9 screenwriter Daniel Casey.
Casey will also be the executive producer, alongside Karim Zreik, Ari Arad, and BioWare producer Michael Gamble.
Part of why The Last of Us and Fallout were so successful is that they had creators Neil Druckmann and Todd Howard, respectively, working on the projects.

However, the Mass Effect show won’t have series creator Casey Hudson behind the scenes, but Mass Effect: Andromeda producer Gamble.
Andromeda is seen as the black sheep of the Mass Effect family, leaving fans concerned about the show.
However, BioWare is currently busy working on the fifth entry in the series, and Mass Effect-inspired outfits were recently added to Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
There is no director currently linked to the project, and it will likely be a long time before we see the final product.

Mass Effect is the perfect target for a TV show, as it is one of the best video game stories.
However, it has not been without its trials and people have complained about the deterioration of the story as the series goes on.
In particular, the ending of Mass Effect 3 and the story of Andromeda are seen as particular missteps.
Having an Andromeda producer involved does not fill us with confidence, but we’ll have to wait for the show to come out to pass judgement.
