PROFITEERING gamers are managing to sell the limited edition 30th anniversary PS5 Pro for thousands weeks ahead of release.
Sony is launching two brand new versions of the console, starting with an upgraded PS5 Pro that goes on sale today.
For those who want something a little special, the tech giant has developed a limited edition model with a throwback design to celebrate 30 years of PlayStation.
The design pays homage to the grey PlayStation that changed the world of gaming way back on December 3, 1994.
Just 12,300 units of the PS5 Pro 30th anniversary edition are being released globally and each are numbered.
It retails for £959.99 / $999 but greedy resellers could make well over double that by flogging them on eBay.

Some have sold for up to £5,000 / $6,450 on the online bidding site already.
The move may not come as a surprise to fans who have been through the chaos of so-called scalpers with the main PS5 launch in 2020.
With stock quite limited during the Coronavirus outbreak, people with no interest in gaming were able to jump on sales as soon as they went live from retailers, before quickly selling them on at a profit.
"Pretty depressing for real PlayStation fans," one user wrote on X.

"Not surprising, but disappointing greed," another commented.
"These resellers ruin it for genuine fans hoping to own a rare item."
A third added: "That's what's wrong with society."
It comes as the main PS5 Pro goes on sale across the world today.
The PS5 Pro is the first major upgrade to the hugely popular device since it was released four years ago, in November 2020.
Last year, a new slim version was unleashed but this year's PS5 Pro packs some mighty changes.
Sony says the PS5 Pro boasts the "most impressive visuals ever possible on a PlayStation console".
It's thanks to features such as advanced ray tracing which improve things like reflections and shadows.
The PS5 Pro is said to deliver super sharp image clarity using AI-enhanced resolution for 4K TV.
