Online stardom

Kai was born on December 16, 2001, in New York City where he was raised alongside his three other siblings.

He attended Frederick Douglass Academy before going on to attend the State University of New York at Morrisville.

He dropped out of the college in 2020, though, and turned his full attention to becoming an influencer.

Kai's online career began in January 2018, when he started uploading videos of pranks and online challenges.

He was noticed by a YouTube group called AMP, or Any Means Possible, and started appearing in their videos.

Kai's career took off when he moved his streams to Twitch and celebrities, including Lil Baby and 21 Savage, began to guest star on his podcasts.

His streams have been credited with popularising some of the newest words in Gen Z and Gen Alpha slang, including "rizz" and "gyat".

On August 4, 20243, Kai and the Twitch streamer Fanum announced a giveaway of PlayStation 5 consoles in Manhattan.

However, thousands of fans appeared at the event which descended in a riot.

Kai was charged with first-degree rioting, inciting a riot and unlawful assembly by the NYPD but the charges were dropped in exchange for an apology and a $57,000 payment in restitution.

In the video, he heads to a therapist who is revealed to actually be Kim Kardashian.

He talks about starting a basketball league and the riot he caused in New York City, prompting Kim to recommend a 30-day streaming marathon.

It is then revealed that Kai plans to stream himself eating, sleeping and showering for 30 days straight.

This is Kai's second marathon-length stream.

In his first stream, he had a K9 unit installed in his bedroom and a ferris wheel installed in his driveway.
