YOUR Sky TV box is hiding an extremely useful secret that's right in front of your eyes.
Take a closer look at the logo on the front of your Sky Q box.
It's actually a button with a very handy purpose – beyond just looking good.
You can press it to make your TV remote beep.
Sky says the trick is perfect for if you're "sick of losing your remote down the back of the sofa".
"That’s why our Sky Q touch remotes have a handy Find my remote feature to stop you turning your house upside down when you’ve lost it," Sky explains.

All you need to do is press the Q button on the front of the Sky box.
After a few seconds, your paired Sky Q remote should beep for 30 seconds.
If you find it before the 30-second window ends, you can press any button on the remote to stop it from beeping.
There are a few catches to this feature.

First, it won't work with the Sky Q Mini box – only the main Sky Q box.
Also, the remote needs to be paired to the Sky box in question.
It also needs to have battery: if the Sky remote is dead, it won't work.
As well as that, it'll only work if the Sky remote is within range of the Sky Q box.
If you accidentally dropped it in a bag that you left at work, the Sky remote will be too far away to beep – but you wouldn't hear it anyway.
TALK TO ME
That's not the only Sky remote trick worth knowing.
If you've got a microphone button on your Sky TV remote that you've always ignored, it's time to pick up a new habit.
There are two handy hacks that make use of this voice-control button.
The first is skipping Sky TV ads: just say "fast-forward three minutes" when you get to an ad break on recorded content.
That way you can instantly breeze past an ad without having to manually fast-forward.

CAN'T GET VOICE CONTROL TO WORK?
Here are Sky's official tips for fixing Voice Control...
If Voice Control isn't working, check your Sky Q remote for problems:
- Remove the battery cover off the body of the Sky Q remote.
- Take out the batteries and insert them again, matching the + and - signs.
- Once the batteries are in place, replace the cover by aligning the catch with the remote body and sliding forward, so it clicks back into place.
Press help (?) on your remote to check it has battery power:
- If the LED light at the top of the remote flashes , then press and hold the Voice Control button. If you don't see the search screen then replace the batteries, and press the Voice Control button once more.
- If the LED light at the top of the remote doesn't flash , then check the batteries are in correctly. If they are, replace them with new batteries. Press and hold the Voice Control button, if you don't see the search screen then pair the remote.
