PlayStation fans warned not to give into scams as 30th-anniversary bundles go back on sale

Don't buy from resellers as consoles and accessories go back on sale

SOME of the most wanted consoles in gaming at the moment are the 30th-anniversary PlayStation 5 bundles.

The consoles and accessories that are designed similar to the original PSOne with grey colouring as well as original PlayStation logos.

Fans loved the designs and vowed to snap up the bundles despite the huge £700/$700 price tag on the PS5 Pro.

Consoles and accessories were snapped up within seconds of going on sale including many that were purchased by resellers.

Every item from the 30th-anniversary line immediately went up for sale on eBay, with the pricey PS5 Pro bundle selling for up to £10k/$10k.

The resale prices have settled at around £3k/$3k but this is still many times the original sale price.

More in PlayStation

Those who want to buy something from the 30th-anniversary bundle should be warned off purchasing from resellers.

PlayStation has recently announced that more consoles and accessories from the 30th-anniversary line will go on sale soon.

There will be more units on sale via PlayStation Direct from today Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 7am PT / 10am ET / 2pm UK time.

The new units are expected to also sell out within minutes of sale, but at least it’s possible for people to pick up their console and accessories directly.

PlayStation Pre-sale

With new products it’s always difficult for companies to judge supply and demand, and with resellers, there is never enough to go around.

The best advice is to never purchase items from resellers no matter how much you want one.

Companies often put items back on sale, because it makes sense for them to make the sales rather than allowing resellers to take the profit.

That aside, purchasing from resellers only encourages that behaviour, meaning that people will likely do this again with other products in the future.

It is tempting to buy from resellers when you really want the product, but not only will you lose money now, but you’ll likely have to spend more money on other products in the future.

The internet makes it very easy for people to buy limited products they don’t want to resell, the only thing consumers can do is refuse to purchase them.
