Pokémon announces the next super tough seven-star raid for Scarlet and Violet
POKÉMON turned a corner with Scarlet and Violet by adding in consistent events to keep players coming back.
With limited-time events, raids and outbreaks added in consistent updates, people return to play the game every week.
The next event coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is a seven-star raid featuring the Water-type starter from Generation 2, Feraligatr.
Feraligatr will be available across two weekends, starting on Friday, November 1, 2024, until Sunday, November 3, 2024, and again from Friday, November 8, 2024, and again from Sunday, November 10, 2024.
Players will be able to complete the raid six times, once per day, but they can only catch Feraligatr once.
We won’t know much about the raid until it goes live, but we do know that it will have the Dark-tera type, and the ability Sheer Force.
More in Pokémon
Sheer Force increases the power of moves with secondary effects by 30%, but also removes those effects.
This means that Feraligatr will hit very hard, and as with all seven-star raids, you’ll need to build specific hard-hitting counters if you want to catch it.
So far only one seven-star raid target has returned to the game, Charizard, so it’s unlikely that we will see this Feraligatr raid appear again.
Dark types are weak to Fighting-, Bug-, and Fairy-type moves, so these Pokémon would make good counters.

See you later Feraligatr
Feraligatr isn’t the most popular Pokémon, and isn’t very strong in online play either.
However, we love these seven-star raids because of how difficult they are, and how much planning is needed.
We never know what to expect, except that it will be hard to take down, so we’ll be preparing a few different Pokémon just in case.
It’s often a puzzle to figure out the best ‘mons to bring, so I’m excited to try a few out.
